Community Benefits Agreement

A key component of our development agreement with the City of Philadelphia is a commitment by SugarHouse Casino to enter into a Community Benefits Agreement with the neighboring communities. 

While the terms of the Community Benefits Agreement have not been finalized, SugarHouse has committed to contributing at least $1 million annually to fund a Special Services District for the benefit of and use by the neighboring communities. 

In addition to the annual contribution, SugarHouse has committed to working with the neighboring communities to address issues related to construction activity, traffic management, security, and sanitation. 

Finally, SugarHouse has agreed to create and implement a system to ensure that residents of the neighboring communities receive timely information about job and vendor opportunities.
