April 2nd, 2019
Philadelphia’s casino recruiting 100 Team Members on April 9
PHILADELPHIA — April 2, 2019 — Calling all veterans in the Philadelphia region: SugarHouse Casino is hosting a veteran-focused job fair and is recruiting over 100 great candidates to join the team. The event is on April 9 and will be held in the casino’s beer garden, Fishtown Hops, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. While the event is specifically tailored for veterans, nonveterans are also welcome to attend.
Veterans are encouraged to bring their veteran ID card to the job fair, where there will be plenty of opportunities in the exciting gaming and entertainment industry. Philly’s casino is offering free dealer school training for those interested in becoming a table games dealer. Other gaming positions available are in slots, cashiering and player services, while non-gaming opportunities include openings in food and beverage, facilities, valet and housekeeping, among other departments.
“The casino is excited to host our veteran-focused job fair,” said Jay Tarbell, vice president of human resources at SugarHouse Casino. “We appreciate those who have served and want to provide them with career opportunities.”
SugarHouse is known for its exceptional benefits, including health care, immediate 401(k) vesting and tuition reimbursement for continuing education. The casino values Team Members and provides a fun work environment with opportunities for learning and development.
Earlier this year, SugarHouse was recognized for the seventh time as a “Top Workplace” by The Philadelphia Inquirer, and has also earned multiple “Best Places to Work” honors from the Philadelphia Business Journal. The casino employs approximately 1,600 Team Members, with most working in full-time positions.
