SUGARHOUSE CASINO WELCOMES SUPERTRAMP’S ROGER HODGSON
March 20th, 2018
PHILADELPHIA — March 20, 2018 — Worldwide rock phenomenon Roger Hodgson of Supertramp will perform his classic songs at the SugarHouse Casino Event Center on Friday, July 13, at 9 p.m. His music resonates across four generations, and tickets for Hodgson’s show go on sale on Friday, March 23, at 10 a.m. and cost from $59 to $79.
Hodgson has built an impressive fan base by touching hearts around the world with his signature voice and his way of pairing introspective lyrics with upbeat melodies. Some of his greatest hits include “Give a Little Bit,” “The Logical Song,” “Dreamer,” “Take the Long Way Home” and “Breakfast in America,” among many others.
“We’re so excited to ‘give a little bit’ (or a lot) of our love to Supertramp’s Roger Hodgson at The Event Center,” said Wendy Hamilton, general manager of SugarHouse Casino. “His timeless classics and catchy tunes reach fans of all ages, and they can’t help but sing along!”
In 1974, the track “Dreamer” written by Hodgson on Supertramp’s third album, “Crime of the Century,” landed the band at the top of the charts. Once their “Famous Last Words” album tour came to an end in 1983, Hodgson left Supertramp to become a solo artist.
A year later, Hodgson released his first solo album, “In the Eye of the Storm,” which sold more than 2 million copies. Additional albums released by Hodgson include “Open the Door” and “Classics Live,” a collection of live performances from his 2010 tour. During his career, he has compiled a repertoire of unreleased songs as he continues to entertain fans with the memorable soundtracks on his worldwide tour.
Tickets for Roger Hodgson’s show and for all SugarHouse performances, including Buddy Guy (April 20), Night Ranger (April 27), Cheech and Chong (May 5) and Vic DiBitetto (June 2) can be purchased on the SugarHouse Casino headliner events page.
In addition to live performances and concerts, the SugarHouse Casino Event Center can be reserved for a variety of occasions, including weddings, corporate receptions, seminars, trade shows and more.
